Our History

Graphics Unlimited continued its growth with another move, this time relocating in the top floor of the building next to WINY. As the business expanded, so did its visibility throughout the community, helping establish the foundation for the company’s long-standing presence in the region.

Graphics Unlimited expanded operations by opening a second location in Dudley, MA managed by Ruth Perry while continuing to operate in Pomfret. The additional space allowed the company to grow its capabilities, increase production, and better serve its growing customer base for the next 22 years.

In 2017 they broke ground on the new plot of land in Putnam, CT.

Founder Joel Perry needed signs for his business. After ordering from a local sign writer, he became impatient and decided to make his own signs. A newfound passion and a perfect fit for Joel who is a talented artist and entrepreneur. Joel opened Graphics Unlimited in the center of Putnam, CT in 1988 with a paint brush and chisel. This marked the beginning of what would become decades of supporting local, regional, and national brands throughout the area.

Graphics Unlimited moved to Pomfret, CT and embraced the future of sign making with the addition of a vinyl cutter and Sign Wizard software, bringing computer based design into the business for the first time. The investment marked a major step forward in both creativity and production capabilities.

Joel and his son Aaron Perry, born the same year as Graphics Unlimited and raised in the sign industry, bought a plot of land in Putnam, CT. They were contracted to put up the for sale sign and decided to purchase the land them self’s.

The new facility opened its doors. They consolidated and moved both locations from Pomfret and Dudley under one roof in Putnam, CT. With an investment into new technology and a focus on efficiency. They added state of the art paint booths, printers, CNC machines, bucket trucks and more. The drive to always improve continues.
